Meraas Holdings is thrilled to announce the revival of the Port De La Mer Project, an expansion of the picturesque waterfront La Mer Development in Jumeirah, Dubai. This development, focused on a marina, caters to the discerning international yachting community. The highlight is the creation of a new island at the North Peninsula, extending approximately 700m into the ocean and covering an area of 130,000sq.m.
The new Port De La Mer island will feature berthing facilities for a minimum of 150 vessels, three luxury hotels, a yacht club, retail spaces surrounding the marina, and exclusive residential apartments. The project entails extensive work, including 1500 lm of shoreline protection rock works, excavation and soil enhancement totaling 4.5 million cubic meters, demolition of temporary shore protection along the offshore edge of the existing North Peninsula, construction of a 500 lm long shoreline with groynes, a 1,250 lm long quay wall using precast concrete blocks, and the installation of 6,500 m3 of cast-in-place concrete crown walls.
